ABOUT THE RESIDENCE VISA

What is a UAE residence visa

A UAE residence visa is a permit that lets you live in the country for a fixed term, usually two years, under a sponsor. Your sponsor is either an employer, a family member who already holds residency, or a company in which you hold shares.

The visa is issued together with an Emirates ID, which is the identity document you will use for banking, telecoms, tenancy, schooling and health cover. Residence visas are renewable for as long as the sponsorship conditions continue to be met.
